# Why a one-way video interview?

Most organisations use [InterviewApp](http://itwapp.io) as a pre-selection tool that allows them to receive more complete and human applications than if they had only read a resume. The one-way video interview doesn’t replace an in-person interview. It is only a preliminary step.
Thanks to the one-way video interview, recruiters make more informed decisions about the suitability of the applicant with the company culture without wasting their time or yours, thanks to the deferred system.
So be zen! And take this opportunity to show who you are!
